Recommended in The Michelin Guide NYC ⇐ © Who says vegan can‘t be sexy? This charming café hits all the right ambience notes: it‘s convivial without being loud, intimate without being claustrophobic, and the delicate mirrors and flickering votives offer the space a sultry dose of visual depth.Though the city‘s demand for organic, nutritious meals continues to soar, not many restaurants are offering the kind of inventive, dynamic cuisine that Blossom is (along with its neighboring sister, Cocoa V Chocolate Boutique Wine & Dessert Bar). Witness a spirited black-eyed pea cake with chipotle aïoli; woodsy strips of grilled seitan over asparagus tips, shiitake mushrooms, and roasted cherry tomatoes; or the vegan Blossom cheesecake, a creamy concoction with an irresistible apricot purée

gayot.com-Top-10 ⇐ ©  Quality organic vegan cuisine and a chic atmosphere are rarely found together. Thus, Ronen Seri and his wife, Pamela --- both former actors --- opened Blossom. Located in an historic two-story building in Chelsea, the design is light and airy though rustic hints like the dark wood bar and fireplace give the eatery an established vibe. Dishes might range from seitan empanadas with saffron aïoli, guacamole and hearts of palm to hickory basted tempeh with roasted fingerling potatoes, collard greens and horseradish crème fraîche. At lunch, dig into the savory scrambled tofu served with spinach, mushrooms, white onion and soy sausage. While eating and conversation go hand in hand above the soft background music, the sweet desserts such as the apple cinnamon sticks with a brandied caramel sauce deserve your full attention.

NYmag.com ⇐ © It’s a familiar tale: Despairing of finding a vegan restaurant to satisfy their culinary and aesthetic requirements, erstwhile actors Pamela Blackwell and Ronen Seri decided to open their own. Though it no longer operates as a juice bar–café during the day, this candlelit restaurant is equipped with a fireplace, a private dining room upstairs, and organic wines and beer. The meatless menu spans the globe with dishes like pumpkin gnocchi with wild mushrooms, South Asian lumpia with curried seitan, and a southern-fried-tofu-and-tempeh-bacon BLT. — Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld
